Send-off Ceremony
Monday August, 18 2008 10:00 AM
The Kansas Secretary of Commerce will be the keynote speaker for the Air Force One send-off ceremony August 18, 2008 at the Kansas Museum of Military History. The Ceremony begins at 10:00 AM and the public is welcome. This plane was the Kerry/Edwards Presidential campaign jet in 2004 and was used for several years as a VIP jet for NBA teams such as the Lakers. The last couple of weeks it was converted into an Air Force One Exhibit in Augusta, Kansas.
At 11:00 AM the plane will leave for display at the largest ever Presidential exhibit called the American Presidential Experience which being held in Denver Colorado.

Huey Wins People's Choice in Riverfest Parade
KMMH netted a $1,000 cash prize for taking the People’s Choice award in the Wichita River Festival Sundown Parade. Our parade entry included our
UH-1H Huey, reenactors of the Last Patrol, WWI, WWI, Korea War, Desert Storm, fighter pilots along with South Vietnamese special forces veterans.
